
Application Support Analyst

- Monitoring and logging application events, system failures and alerts across business-critical IT systems.
- Providing first-line support and incident resolution, escalating only where necessary.
- Triage and troubleshoot unexpected alerts using leading monitoring tools like AppDynamics and AWS CloudWatch.
- Supporting system access, service restarts, and essential monthly maintenance tasks.
- Maintaining and updating our internal Knowledge Base with repeat procedures and known fixes.
- Contributing to weekly feedback loops, identifying recurring issues and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Acting as the single point of IT support out-of-hours, including handling user access requests and high-priority incidents.
- Collaborating with Duty Managers to ensure timely, effective communication on live issues.
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience in an IT-related field.
- Experience in system operation or application support in a live environment.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
- Working knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g. AppDynamics, CloudWatch).
- Experience writing and executing SQL scripts.
- Confident using command line interfaces and understanding system behaviour.
- Awareness of ITIL processes and SLAs.
- Familiar with collaboration and documentation tools like Jira and Confluence.
