We’re currently looking for a Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a fantastic chance to help students in KS3 & KS4 in a dynamic learning environment.The RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you’ll support classroom learning, help students access the curriculum, and encourage progress and positive behaviour. This Temp to Perm opportunity offers hands-on experience working closely with teaching and pastoral teams.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport lesson delivery across multiple subjectsProvide 1:1 and group support, including SEN/EAL studentsAssist with classroom setup and resource preparationEncourage a positive, inclusive learning atmosphereHelp manage classroom behaviour effectivelyWork with SENCOs, teachers, and support staff to meet pupil needsSupervise students during break/lunch when requiredMinimum RequirementsExperience: Minimum 1 year working with secondary-aged studentsQualifications: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferredSkills:Strong communication and teamworkPositive attitude and adaptable approachCommitted to supporting young learnersDBS CheckApplicants must have or obtain an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce). If not registered with the update service, a new check may be required (cost may apply).
