Designed with a passion for innovation with specialist features to help to optimise athletic performance in all conditions.The founders’ vision is to build Castore into a brand respected across the globe for a deep and unrelenting commitment to engineering the highest quality sportswear in the world, with no stone left unturned in its search for innovation and performance enhancement.The sportswear market has been dominated by a small clique of mass-market brands and the vision is for Castore to be a premium alternative to these, the natural brand of choice for discerning athletes who demand the very best.The RoleAn exciting role has been created for a Shipping Clerk to join our growing Operations team, to own and lead the global compliance of all our inbound and outbound movements, including the vendor bookings & outbound transportation network.Through our partnership profile and exciting growing mainline, the demand for Castore is seeing us partner with the biggest retailers in the market, as well as developing a distribution network on a global scale.As a Shipping Clerk you will play an integral role in helping us deliver against our ambitious growth targets in this hugely strategic channel for our business.Responsibilities·Manage the vendor booking portal, ensuring all bookings and approvals we inline with purchase order demand and business requirements
·Monitor and report on vendor booking performance
·Manage the outbound transportation network including quote approval and shipment visibility
·Invoice approval and reconciliation
·Develop new & maintain existing relationships with external Freight Forwarders & internal stakeholders across all departments
·Monitor, compare and report on freight forwarder costs and rates
·Review and check commercial documentation
·Own the inbound and outbound compliance checks
·Implementing cost and performance saving processes inline with company demands
·Validate export documentation for all inbound and outbound shipments including commercial invoices, packing lists, transport documents, preference certificates
·Maintain accurate records of shipments in compliance with HMRC standards
·Collaborate with customs/tax teams to ensure all compliance requirements are met
·Understand and inform the business on customs changes including incoterms, commodity codes and rules of origin /preferenceSkills & QualitiesEssential Knowledge and Experience:·Experience of working in a similar role·Knowledge of commercial documentation and shipping terms·Proven experience in shipping preferably with a Freight Forwarder or International Trading Company·Excellent working knowledge of relevant topics such as Incoterms and Preferential Origin.·Ability and confidence to liaise with internal and external partners and government agencies·Knowledge of International shipping regulations and customs procedures·Capability to react to a constantly changing workload and prioritise work where required·Ability to work cross-functionally, liaising with peer groups across the business to drive efficiencies and results·Ability to work within strict deadlines and able to be adaptive to changes·Computer literacy (Microsoft suite) Excel, Word, OutlookPersonal Qualities:·Excellent attention to detail & a natural problem solver·Eye for detail Excellent planning and organisation skills·Comfortable in a fast-paced and ever-changing business environment·Flexible approach and willingness to further learn & adapt in a fast pace growing business·Exceptional communication and organisational skills·Organisation, planning, able to juggle multiple projects at once·Confidence in own ability to challenge current ways of working, whilst delivering recommendations for improved process·Natural leader·Results driven·Excellent communicator written and verbally·Share our ambitious outlook·Have a Better Never Stops AttitudeWhat We Offer
