- Defining the most appropriate test methodology, testing means and developing the test operating mode in accordance with the costs time and pass-fail criterion set for the test.
- Depending on the test environment, they prepare instrumentation and setups (Hardware, Software) for the test execution
- Preparing the execution and necessary setup of the tests they are responsible for
- Participating in the design and the development of the tools necessary for performing the tests
- Implementing, verifying (functional), and ensuring compliance (calibration) of the measuring equipment to be ready at the time of the test.
- Preparing the equipment for testing. Validating that the applied configuration and prerequisite testing allows the testing to proceed.
- Respecting EHS rules notably implementing LockOut-TagOut instruction.
- Executing test activities, analysing test results “live” and deciding if test must be redone or not
- Test results data analysis, writing static and dynamic test reports and opening test problem reports
- Preparing and supporting the configuration readiness for the functional test means when applicable
- Minimum Higher National Diploma in Engineering or equivalent experience within an Engineering Environment
- Train system knowledge (system analysis, railways)
- Fluent in English
- Electrical schematic experience
- Software Validation
- Knowledge of electrical vs software design on train.
- Experience in Train Control Management System development and/or validation.
- Technical documentation creation and reporting
- Travel is required (flexibility for occasional worldwide travel is required)
