- Preparation & peer review all monthly / quarterly / regulatory returns required per various compliance regulations
- Strong knowledge and operational hands on experience of dealing in Solvency II, Bermuda Regulations and NAIC Regulations
- Manage and Review workload of approx. 8-10 offshore staff members for review and transition of Regulatory Reporting
- Keep up to date with regulatory requirements and ensure timely implementation of changes including updates to policies, procedures manual and relevant returns
- Produce organized workpaper documentation and detailed standalone desktop procedures timely in accordance with regulatory reporting instructions and in compliance with SOX, department policies, standards and procedures.
- Recommend procedural changes / process improvement opportunities to streamline our process, and ensure the Accuracy and timeliness of the reporting process.
- Oversee the implementation of any process automation done at client end in the inform of tools & technologies.
- Develop a strong knowledge of our systems and tools to utilize them effectively in our report preparation.
- Respond to internal/external inquiries regarding financial data reported or filed.
- To create an internal environment where client is the focus of the business through appropriate communication, recognition and rewards.
- To create systems and checks for internal compliance policies and guidelines and ensures maintenance of clear and precise records per the requirements.
- Focus on team productivity, efficiency & accuracy improvements
- On-board any new team member & complete training
- Capture metrics in the process & analyse trends to take proactive measures
- First Degree and Professional Accountancy Qualification (ACA or ACCA)
- Masters degree in Accountancy
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in London market regulatory reporting process environment.
- Thorough experience in preparation and review of SolvencyII, BMA quarterly and annual return
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy and good analytical skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication and organisational skills in managing client, peers and other key stakeholder, able to show initiative.
- Strong Team player
- Strong proficiency in English Language speaking and writing skills.
