PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: Up to £55,000 depending on relevant experience. Flexible working will be part of the discussion at offer stage.PURPOSE OF THE ROLEAs a Senior Data Tracking Implementation Analyst at the BBC, you will play a pivotal role in helping us collect the data we need to make data informed decisions. You will be working alongside product managers and analysts to understand their data needs and then translate them into the right structures and schemas, estimating the effort and priority of the work required. You will also work with our engineering teams to help them interpret the events correctly.Why Join the TeamYou will be part of a dynamic team that plays a pivotal role in changing the data landscape in the BBC via strategic projects and ensures data quality and consistency via the support function. This role will not purely be focused on designing or implementing schemas, this is balanced with evaluating downstream impact, validating incoming data to ensure it complies with our standards and engaging in transformational projects that improve the way we handle tracking.Your Key Responsibilities and Impact· Create, own and maintain tracking specifications for the products and features in your area by collaborating with key stakeholders in product areas
· Lead and drive the definition of tracking event schemas; conforming to a coherent event taxonomy and naming standards and conventions
· Transform business requirements to technical event specifications developed with other members of the Product Management and Analytics teams
· Own acceptance criteria, definition of done and troubleshooting of analytics related issues and provide QA sign off for tech implementation alongside product engineering teams

· Previous experience implementing data tracking or tagging in websites, web applications and/or mobile applications with a strong understanding of best practices
· Ability to accurately estimate pieces of work and dynamically prioritise based on incoming requests
· Previous experience of translating business requirements into technical/data requirements
· Ability to clearly communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Ability to collaborate effectively, working alongside other team members towards the team's goals, mentoring and enabling others to succeed, where possible.Desired But not Required
· Experience of using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe analytics, ATI Piano, Mixpanel) or tagging tools (e.g., Google Tag Manager)
· Some experience of using SQL, HTML and Javascript
· Experience of working with data quality tools or writing data quality test is a bonus
· Strong attention to detail
