Graduate Unqualified TeacherAre you a recent graduate with a strong academic background and a serious interest in becoming a teacher?An ambitious secondary school in Brent is offering a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Unqualified Teacher to join their team from September 2025.This is a 1-year fixed-term role, ideal for graduates who are considering a career in teaching and want to gain first-hand classroom experience in a core subject such as English, Maths, Science, Humanities or MFL before starting a PGCE or teacher training programme.The Role:As a Graduate Unqualified Teacher, you’ll step into a structured support role designed to develop your confidence and competence in the classroom. Under the guidance of experienced teachers and middle leaders, your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading pre-planned lessons to full classes
  • Supporting students in your subject specialism across KS3 and KS4
  • Delivering interventions and booster sessions for small groups and individuals
  • Developing classroom management strategies
  • Assisting with marking, planning, and data tracking as needed

  • A recent graduate (2:1 or above preferred) in a core subject (Maths, English, Science, History, Geography, or MFL)

  • Strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills
  • Confidence, initiative, and a professional attitude
  • Previous experience working with young people or in education is desirable but not essential

Pay & Contract:
  • £25,000 – £30,000 per annum, depending on experience and subject specialism
