Job DescriptionLooking for challenging and varied projects?We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Senior Structural Engineer to join a structural engineering studio in Bristol, and apply their creative design skills on challenging, high-quality, high-profile projects as part of one of several interdisciplinary design teams.Join and you will have the opportunity to develop your career with potentially the fastest growing engineering consultancy in the Southwest and Wales working on diverse projects across many sectors including healthcare, education, blue light and multi-storey framed buildings and gaining exposure to the full scope of an award-winning Cardiff practice.Projects in immediate pipeline range up to £200m and include:
  • Multi-storey RC frames
  • Police stations
  • Education projects both new build and refurb
  • Cutting edge contemporary innovation centers both local and national
  • Student accommodation
  • Residential developments
  • A major super market chain including their commercial buildings
The CandidateYou will have a passion for architecture and building design. You will be working closely with architects and will therefore be able to articulate your creative ideas persuasively through sketching, verbally and in writing.You will have strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex tasks through rational and methodical thought to achieve an optimum solution.You will have a collaborative team-working style and will be able to work effectively with people at all levels and from all backgrounds.Responsibilities
  • Managing projects for the duration of their life cycle
  • Monitor project financial and technical performance
  • Working as design lead and point of contact
  • Checking work and deliverables
  • Delegating work
  • Site visits and client and contractor engagement
  • Running and delivering projects
