The KN Cheung SK Chin Simulation Centre ('InterSim') was established in 2021, to champion interprofessional simulation-based healthcare education. The InterSim Centre provides a dedicated space for medical, pharmacy, nursing, midwifery and dentistry students to learn together in interactive scenarios that replicate real clinical practice. Since then, over 7,000 students have benefited from training in this state-of-the-art facility. The School of Pharmacy and InterSim are delighted to seek to appoint a Pharmacy InterSim Fellow for 12 months to make a significant contribution to the development of interprofessional clinical teaching in our simulation centre. This is a new and innovative post with the successful candidate collaborating with and co-designing interprofessional simulation teaching with an interprofessional team of Fellows and other key partners such as patient and students. Clinical experience as a pharmacist prescriber, in particular, is desirable to help shape clinical teaching in this area. The post holder will be expected to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in simulated settings.This position has been supported and jointly funded by:

About the person:Successful candidates must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria:
Pharmacy degree
Registered pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland or the General Pharmaceutical Council (GB)
Currently working in a patient-facing environment at Band 7 level (or equivalent) minimum with 2 years' experience post-registration in a patient-facing environment 4. Experience of facilitating student/trainee learning on placement
