The role will evolve as their child grows and will initially involve both childcare and home support. However, initially, the role will be nanny duties only.The family are a retired professional couple, so will be around some of the time in the daytime. The role offers a mix of childcare on non-school days and housekeeping during school mornings.From April 2026, child will attend nursery school 2 mornings per week and housekeeping only on these days. This will increase to 3 mornings per week from September and increase from then on to 5 mornings per week. So initially It is a full-time nanny job and gradually turns into nanny/housekeeper on four days out of five, because one weekday is a day off.Hours on school days only will be 8.00 am – 5.00 pm (45 hours per week) and occasional overtime /evening babysittingJob specification:Childcare Duties (All Days):Preparing and serving healthy, nutritious meals for the childBottle sterilisation (while relevant)Full child-related laundry, ironing, and weekly linen changeCleaning and organising child’s bedroom, bathroom, and play areasSupporting with toothbrushing and potty training when developmentally appropriateActive daily outings, library visits, playdates, crafts, and gamesMonitoring developmental milestones and engaging in stimulating age-appropriate playTypical Day (Non-School Days):9:30am - Wake, bottle, nappy change, dress, breakfast10:30am - Outing or indoor play12:30pm - Lunch, followed by nap3:00pm - Snack & continued play or outings5:30pm - Supper6:30pm - Handover to parents for bath & bedtimeTypical Nursery School Days:8:00am - Wake, milk, nappy change, breakfast8:45am - Drop-off at school12:30pm - Pick-up, lunch, nap2:45pm - Snack, play, occasional playdates5:00pm - HandoverHousekeeping Duties (During School Mornings):Cleaning floors and rugs on ground floorHoovering and dusting staircases and landingsDusting and tidying sitting room, dining room, and hallwayWeekly deep clean of the kitchen (surfaces, fronts, sink area and fridge)Candidate specification:Experienced with toddlers and confident managing all aspects of their careProactive, reliable with a warm, positive attitudeHappy to work as a team with the parentsStrong understanding of child safety and early years developmentKeen interest in nutrition and confident cooking from scratchPhysically active and happy to participate in play, sports, and outingsEnhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
