Living Allowance: £650 per month (if eligible)About the RoleWe are currently seeking a dedicated and organised Stores Coordinator to join our team in Barrow-in-Furness. This is an exciting opportunity to support one of the most complex engineering programmes in the UK – the design, build, and maintenance of the Royal Navy’s submarine fleet.As a Stores Coordinator, you will play a key role in the management and coordination of stock and materials used throughout the submarine programme, ensuring critical components are received, recorded, stored, and issued in a timely and accurate manner. You’ll work closely with procurement, production, and engineering teams to ensure material availability meets operational requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, inspect, and record incoming stock and materials, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standardsMaintain accurate stock levels using inventory management systemsIssue components and materials to internal departments based on project demandsConduct regular stock checks and audits to maintain inventory integrityLiaise with logistics and procurement teams to manage material flows efficientlyEnsure correct storage conditions for sensitive or high-value itemsAdhere to all relevant health, safety, and security regulations within a controlled site environmentEssential Skills & ExperienceExperience in a warehouse, stores, or materials coordination role within a complex or regulated environmentStrong organisational skills with attention to detailGood IT skills, particularly in using inventory and stock management systems
