Rate: Competitive — details to be discussed upon applicationWe are seeking an experienced Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry to join our NHS client in Glasgow, Scotland. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start and offers a rewarding role within a supportive team environment.Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert psychiatric care to older adults, ensuring high standards of clinical practice
- Lead and support a multidisciplinary team in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients
- Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to the needs of older patients
- Ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act (MHA) and relevant clinical governance standards
- Participate in ward rounds, case reviews, and contribute to service development
- Full GMC registration
- Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status
- Proven experience in Old Age Psychiatry
- Previous experience in a Consultant role within the NHS
