Job Title: Sports Coach
Location: Hathersage, S32
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term. Part-time/Full-time.Are you passionate about sports and inspiring young people to lead active, healthy lifestyles?GSL Education are seeking a dynamic and energetic Sports Coach to join schools in Hathersage. As a Sports Coach, this is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who have a background in sports coaching, physical education, or youth mentoring, and who want to make a difference in the lives of students through sport and physical activity.As a Sports Coach, your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering engaging PE lessons and sports activities across a range of age groups.
  • Promoting teamwork, resilience, and a positive attitude through sport.
  • Supporting pupils in developing their physical abilities and self-confidence.
  • Assisting with after-school sports clubs, tournaments, and school events.
  • Working closely with teaching staff to support learning and behaviour management.
To be successful as a Sports Coach, you should:
  • Have prior experience working with children or young people, preferably in a coaching or school setting.
  • Hold a relevant sports coaching qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Be confident, enthusiastic, and a positive role model for students.
  • Have strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Be able to provide a full, 10-year career history with all gaps clearly explained.
