💼 Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.4 hours per day, flexibility required across all operational hours (37 hours per week)
💰 Day Rate: £350-£400 per dayAbout the Role
This role is ideal for a confident and credible leader with a strong background in health and safety management across complex, multi-site environments.You'll be responsible for leading the development and implementation of corporate health and safety policies, managing a small team of advisors, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices. The role also involves oversight of occupational health contracts, risk assessments, incident investigations, and training delivery.Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the organisation's health and safety function.
- Develop and implement robust H&S frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Provide strategic advice and reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Oversee occupational health provision and contract performance.
- Conduct audits, investigations, and ensure RIDDOR compliance.
- Deliver training and promote a safety-first culture across the organisation.
- NEBOSH qualified or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a similar role within public-facing services.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Experience managing teams and delivering training.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
This role is based on-site in Bury, with occasional travel within the locality.
