- Administration, for example, managing patient referrals, taking meeting minutes, entering summaries into patient notes
- Data collection, data entry, database management, data reporting and writing of service reports
- Contributing to service development projects and audit
- Contributing to patient information (for example service leaflets)
- Providing supervised and specific assessment and intervention as directly guided by clinicians in the team
- Assisting with the delivery of group treatment in the service
- Providing psychological assessment under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist.
- To assist in clinically applied research involving the conduct of audits, data quality work, teaching, and project work
- This post involves working independently according to a work plan agreed with line manager and within the overall framework of the teams policies and procedures.

- Completed an Honours Degree in Psychology (single or joint, 2:1 or higher) with eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership of the BPS (GBC), or initial degree with MSc conversion to psychology with GBC
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Experience of conducting literature searches and reviews, designing research projects, implementing data collection procedures, analysing results, and disseminating findings
- Knowledge of developmental processes from childhood to old age.
- Understanding the needs of individuals with psychological difficulties.
- Demonstrates understanding of issues relating to confidentiality and adheres to Trust policy.
- Experience of work or further training in applied research
- Experience in presenting data/presenting information to varied audiences.
- Experience of conducting clinical interviews, neuropsychological assessment, formulation and/or intervention under supervision Experience of working with patient groups with psychological difficulties
- High level report writing
- An ability to apply existing psychological knowledge and skills to a healthcare setting.
- Computer literate with experience of using Microsoft Office and statistical packages for data analysis.
- High level communication skills (written and verbal) including an ability to communicate and work in settings in which the atmosphere may be highly emotive.
- Ability to present data in an engaging and clear manner both electronically and in person.
- High levels of organisation, including ability to create and manage databases.
- Ability to work independently, reliably, and consistently with work agreed
- Ability to manage work and to be managed.
- Ability to accept and use supervision appropriately and effectively.
- Ability to show initiative when required and a willingness to share ideas with others
- Ability to cope with and maintain professionalism in potentially upsetting circumstances
- Ability to meet the travel requirements of the post.
