- Management Accounting and Reporting – Lead monthly management accounts, finance closedown, payroll postings, budget monitoring, and financial forecasting, including variance analysis and action planning.
- Financial Planning and Advice – Develop 3-year financial forecasts; provide financial advice to budget holders, reporting issues to senior leadership.
- Budget Setting and Reviews – Conduct regular finance meetings, review KPIs, and support budget alignment with strategic goals.
- System and Ledger Oversight – Maintain and improve financial systems; oversee sales and purchase ledgers, ensuring timely payments and resolution of issues.
- Integrated Financial Planning – Drive the development and implementation of software to strengthen long-term planning and resource allocation.
- Team Leadership and Development – Manage the central finance team, structure roles effectively, lead on appraisals, and provide professional development and training.
- Strategic Support and Governance – Contribute to company-wide strategy by aligning finance goals with the development plan.
- Process Improvement and Compliance – Support efficient, compliant financial processes and streamline integration with other systems.
- Audit and Statutory Duties – Assist with year-end accounts, lead audits, and prepare statutory returns.
- Cross-functional Collaboration – Work closely with HR and payroll providers, support stakeholders, and maintain strong financial governance across the business.
