Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-timeAre you a caring, patient, and enthusiastic individual who enjoys supporting primary-aged pupils in their learning and development?GSL Education are seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant to join a school in the Killamarsh (S26) area. As a Primary TA, you will contribute to creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment, supporting both the academic and personal development of pupils.Responsibilities as a Primary Teaching Assistant:
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities across the primary curriculum.
  • Support pupils individually or in small groups to improve learning outcomes and confidence.
  • Promote positive behaviour, social skills, and emotional development.
  • Help prepare teaching materials and maintain an organised classroom environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers as appropriate.
  • Support pupils with additional needs to ensure inclusion and engagement.
Requirements for Primary Teaching Assistant:
  • Previous experience working with primary-aged pupils is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting learning.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
