- Lead end-to-end delivery of engineering-heavy initiatives (services, pipelines, performance work, platform integrations).
- Be the point of accountability for scope, schedule, risk, and stakeholder alignment.
- Facilitate technical discovery sessions with engineers; evaluate solution options, trade-offs, and effort.
- Produce clear execution plans: milestones, success criteria, capacity forecasts, and cross-team dependencies.
- Maintain a living risk register; escalate or mitigate issues spanning gameplay, infra, security, and vendors.
- Coordinate with central tech teams to secure reviews, tooling, and deployment windows.
- Build dashboards (cycle time, burn-ups, CFD) that make progress and blockers visible.
- Analyse metrics, propose counter-measures, and adjust plans to keep delivery predictable.
- Run retros and RCAs for technical work streams; document learnings and franchise best practices across teams.
- Turn engineering jargon into clear status updates and player impact statements for non-technical stakeholders.
- Champion a player-first, data-informed mindset in every technical decision.
- Extensive experience shipping games or large-scale software as a Technical Producer, Development Manager, or TPM.
- Hands-on experience driving cross-discipline teams through discovery, planning, and delivery of backend or platform features.
- Proven skill crafting milestone & sprint plans with clear dependencies, risk mitigation, and capacity alignment.
- Comfort with CI/CD, version control, and automated test pipelines (e.g., Git, Perforce, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Ability to read technical specs, ask smart questions, and support engineers in decision- making—without being the architect.
- Strong reporting chops: burndowns, velocity, defect dashboards, and data-backed forecasting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; able to bridge tech and non-tech worlds.
