- Assist with operational management of the team in alignment with Council priorities and good practice.
- Maintain standards according to Fostering Regulations, National Minimum Standards, and relevant legislation.
- Provide guidance, consultation, and supervision to team members, including induction support for new employees.
- Manage safeguarding and risk management, ensuring quality care through care plans and service contracts.
- Contribute to the training and development of the team to achieve high performance against targets and standards.
- Foster effective inter-agency collaboration for a coordinated service provision.
- Deliver customer-focused service delivery and achieve key results aligned with local and national indicators.
- Prepare performance reports and maintain records to ensure adherence to Council policies.
- Act as a deputy for the team manager when necessary.
- Participate in the out-of-hours foster carer support rota.
- Undertake additional responsibilities appropriate to the posts grade.
- Attend relevant groups and contribute to policy and procedure development.
- Effectively manage risk and safeguarding within the fostering service.
- Social Work qualification or equivalent.
- PQ Child Care Award/Formal Management Qualification.
- Registration with HCPC.
- Post-qualification experience within a childcare setting, particularly with Looked After Children.
- Experience in various aspects of the social work role.
- Experience in recruitment, training, and support of foster carers.
- Supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in report writing, presentation, and ICT skills.
- Experience working with behavioral models.
Qualification details and relevant experience/skills must be clearly stated in the CV document.
