
Consultant Ophthalmologist with special interest in Glaucoma

- Triage referrals when required
- See, diagnose, and treat patients in a high-quality manner
- Be effective in communicating with patients, GPs, Optometrists, other clinicians, and Directors
- Complete medical records and correspondence accurately and on time
- Provide reports relating to patient incidents promptly
- Meet all the criteria from GMC and RCO to maintain their license to practice. This includes revalidation, internal & external appraisal etc. Ensure that mandatory training is up to date
- Deliver teaching and training to other colleagues and AHPs (Allied Health Professionals)
- Be aware of local clinical governance reporting arrangements
- Work as part of a cohesive team, and support the administration team to deliver a safe and efficient clinical service
- Behave as a professional clinician as per GMC guidelines
- Be punctual for clinical sessions and meetings
- To support iSIGHT managers to achieve Key Performance Indicators
- Perform regular audit and ensure effective audit mechanisms are in place
- Support the team in the development of clinical links with other health delivery organisations
- Work closely with other Consultant Ophthalmologists, Optometrists and other clinical staff including Nurses and Orthoptists, with management and other administrative staff.
- May be asked to represent the company on certain occasions

- Experience in general Ophthalmology with exposure to subspecialty ophthalmology
- Good time management and IT skills, working towards electronic records
- Valid drivers licence and personal transport
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills

- The post holder has a responsibility to comply with the Data Protection Act 2018 and maintain confidentiality of staff and iSIGHT business
