This rewarding role is perfect for someone committed to helping students overcome challenges and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.Role Overview:As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional support to manage their behaviour and engage positively with their learning. You’ll act as a trusted mentor and role model, helping them build confidence and resilience.Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide targeted one-to-one and small-group interventions to support positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Develop and implement tailored behaviour support strategies for individual students.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with students, encouraging trust and open communication.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to create inclusive learning environments.
  • Support classroom activities and help maintain a calm, supportive atmosphere.
  • Monitor student progress and contribute to regular reports and reviews.
  • Promote a culture of respect, responsibility, and personal growth throughout the school.
Job Requirements:
  • Experience working in a Behaviour Mentor, Youth Worker, Pastoral Support, or similar role.
  • A good understanding of behavioural and social-emotional needs in children and young people.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and connect with students.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, patient approach to challenging situations.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people to overcome barriers and achieve their best.
  • A relevant qualification in education, youth work, psychology, or related fields is advantageous.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
