Senior Credit Analyst - Contract
Manchester, UKWe're seeking an experienced Senior Credit Analyst to join a leading global CDMO pharmaceutical organisation on a contract basis. In this role, you'll play a key part in managing credit risk across a diverse international client portfolio, ensuring sustainable growth while protecting the business from potential risk. This opportunity is offered on an initial 6-month contracting basis.Hourly rate: £20-24/hourWhat you'll do:
  • Evaluate creditworthiness of new and existing customers through financial statements, credit reports, and market data
  • Recommend and monitor customer credit limits in line with business objectives and risk appetite
  • Track and report on credit exposures, payment behaviour, and aging trends, escalating risks as needed
  • Collaborate with customers to resolve credit-related issues
  • Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, contributing to process improvements
  • Partner with Sales, Legal, and Finance to support negotiations, dispute resolution, and strategic decisions
  • Prepare regular reports and dashboards for senior management
What we're looking for:
  • Minimum 7-10 years' experience in credit analysis, ideally within pharmaceuticals or manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements, credit scoring models, and risk assessment tools
  • Familiarity with international credit risk and trade finance
  • Proficiency in SAP and Excel; BI tools and High Radius experience a plus
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Part-qualified in a professional accounting/finance qualification (CIMA, ACCA, CICM)
  • GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English
