And our success allows MillerKnoll to support causes that align with our values, so we can build a more sustainable, equitable, and beautiful future for everyone.EMEA Financial ControllerMelksham - SN12 6GNHybrid working availableJob summaryThe EMEA Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in the EMEA Finance Team and will be responsible for a range of duties including leading a team of 8 people, managing all financial reporting elements for EMEA entities and branches, and reporting to the Europe Finance Director, supporting them on all financial matters. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of accounting in entities and branches in the EMEA region.
  • Leading and developing the EMEA Financial reporting and transactional teams.
  • Responsible for all statutory, tax and regulatory reporting across EMEA entity and branches.
  • Support the Europe Finance Director as required.
  • To work within the requirements of the Company’s Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental management systems
Specific responsibilitiesEnsure the accuracy and integrity of the monthly financials in line with local statutory requirements and US GAAP. Include maintaining a network of local external accountants and advisors across EMEA.Responsible for overseeing month end and year end closes and audits.Responsible for managing and improving the financial and transactional control framework within the EMEA region.Line manage and develop the EMEA Financial Reporting and Transactions Teams.Responsible for all statutory, tax and regulatory reporting across EMEA – to include Financial Accounts, Corporation tax, VAT, Customs and others as required.Responsibility for cash management and cash forecasting across the EMEA region.Simplification of existing systems, processes, and business models.Member of the European Finance Leadership team.Supporting the EMEA region and wider global group, as required.Ad hoc tasks and projects as requiredJob holder requirementsQualified accountant (ACA / ACMA / ACCA)Minimum 4 years financial reporting experience in medium/large companyMinimum 3 years line management experienceStrong accounting standards knowledgeExperience of leading month and year end closes and auditExperience of preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and filing tax returnsStrong communicator at all levelsStrong multi-tasker – able to balance and prioritise multiple requirements at once.SOX control experience (desired)Experience of accounting in a manufacturing environment (desired)Company valuesDesign for the good of humankindWe are difference-makersWe are all extraordinaryWe are better togetherCompany requirementsHealth & Safety; ensure that safe working practices are followed.
