- Strategic Leadership - Define the vision and strategy for the global E&C portfolio, driving profitable growth and performance
- Portfolio Management - Take accountability for the Profit & Loss of the Global E&C portfolio, defining risk appetite and ensuring profitable growth
- Technical Excellence - Serve as the ultimate point of reference on technical issues and stay ahead of emerging technologies and market trends
- Team Leadership - Directly lead the Wholesale Underwriting team in London while collaboratively guiding Market Unit Underwriters globally
- Relationship Building - Cultivate strategic relationships with key clients and brokers, representing Swiss Re Corporate Solutions at the highest levels
- Risk Governance - Ensure full compliance with applicable underwriting standards and risk management frameworks
- Innovation - Drive the development of new solutions to address evolving client needs in the engineering and construction sectors
- University degree in an engineering discipline (civil, mechanical, chemical or process engineering) or comparable education with strong affinity to the engineering & construction industry
- Minimum of 15 years of experience as a professional engineer, including managerial roles and site experience with construction/erection supervision
- Minimum of 10 years engineering underwriting experience with a primary insurance or reinsurance company
- Proven track record in leading and managing global teams with diverse backgrounds
- Strong experience in quantitative data analytics and decisive portfolio steering
- MBA or postgraduate degree in economics, finance or business administration
- Broad global network with corporate clients and brokers
- Experience in change management with a visionary mindset
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills across all organizational levels
