FINTEC recruit is seeking an R&D Project Test Lead for our client an international manufacturing business based in Kent, working within a laboratory environment. This is a permanent position, salary negotiable by experience circa £45,000 +10% bonus plus additional benefits which include contributory pension, healthcare, income protection, life assurance and more. Working 37.5 hours per week, hybrid WFH 1 or 2 days per week. Working Monday to Friday 09:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with flexibility around start finish times. Some travel involved to other company sites within the UK and EuropeResponsibilities:
  • Development and testing of new products and systems, ensuring systems meet performance requirements
  • Record testing results, create reports, create and maintain logs of these and procedures
  • Assist in designing, setting up and mechanical testing within the R&D Team
  • Supporting Acoustic, Fire and structural testing, with an understanding of this.
  • Contribute to the development of drywall systems to optimise raw material and costs, ensuring quality and consistent performance
Skills and Experience required for the R&D Project Test Lead
  • Experience of Material Testing
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD software for designing and interpreting drawings
  • Acoustic and Fire testing experience / understanding
  • Hold a degree in a building, science, or engineering-related field
  • Hands on experience of working within a laboratory environment within manufacturing or similar, with strong analytical skills
  • UK driver’s licence & flexible to travel to other company sites on occasions with the UK & Europe
