- Leads trade compliance initiatives and ensures administrative requirements and data are reported up and across the organization.
- Communicates with internal stakeholders for awareness of the trade requirements they are required to be met.
- Leads collaboration efforts with the business to ensure compliant logistical export/import flow of goods.
- Support organization in the implementation and oversight of trade compliance processes, procedures, and tools by embedding trade compliance requirements, as necessary.
- Lead and the organization’s implementation of trade compliance best practices.
- Responsibility and oversight of post-entry audits to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Manages intake of regional trade compliance potential violations; investigates and develops/executes correction action plans to mitigate reoccurrence/risk.
- Leads Trade Compliance support to the Organization by providing trade compliance analysis and interpretation related to matters in the region with Trade Compliance Management oversight.
- Ensures export, import and sanctions compliance procedures are accurate and revised as required.
- Manage use of Inward Processing Relief ensuring compliance through appropriate oversight and controls
- Manages regional trade compliance inquiries from third parties (i.e., brokers, freight forwarders, customers, suppliers)
- Has direct oversight of Energizer’s UK import and export compliance program
- Develops enterprise global trade compliance training and along with tailored regional training for key stakeholders.
- Ensures appropriate recordkeeping procedures are in place to compliance with local regulations.
- Responsible for regional broker management oversight inclusive of maintaining broker SOPs, Broker Performance KPIs, QBR Coordination and Corrective Action Tracking.
- Acts as a representative for Energizer in front of HMRC, ECJU or other UK trade regulatory agency
- Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years trade compliance experience
- Extensive knowledge of Customs management and the effects of trade compliance activities across responsible areas.
- Experience with Customs Special Procedures/Inward Processing Relief (preferred)
- Customs broker licence preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders both in written and verbal formats
