We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority in based in Devon, who are recruiting for a Senior Estates Surveyor on a 3-month rolling contract.The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The daily rate of pay is circa £415.00 via an Umbrella company.The ideal candidate will be MRICS/FRICS qualified and a RICS Registered Valuer, bringing significant post-qualification experience in commercial estates management and valuation.They will be demonstrating strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills, while confidently managing stakeholders, mentoring junior surveyors, and ensuring compliance across a varied property portfolio.Duties will include (but are not limited to):
  • Managing a diverse commercial property portfolio
  • Undertaking valuations, rent reviews, lease renewals and re-gears
  • Negotiating lettings, disposals, acquisitions, and landlord/tenant matters
  • Overseeing day-to-day estate management including service charges, dilapidations, and tenant issues
  • Providing professional property advice across the organisation
  • Supervising and mentoring Assistant Estates Surveyors
  • Ensuring compliance with property law and health & safety requirements
Experience required:
  • Chartered Surveyor (MRICS/FRICS) & RICS Registered Valuer
  • Strong knowledge of commercial property management & property law
  • Significant post-qualification experience in estates management & valuation
Working hours:
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, Flexible Start/Finish Times
