Our employment within local communities will provide knowledge transfer and social value improvements.We are currently looking to recruit an Electrical Site Supervisor to join our Projects business stream on a full-time permanent basis covering various sites throughout the Southern Water region of England. The overall purpose of this role is to supervise and lead site-based staff throughout their day-to-day work to achieve completion of projects as set out by the customer. This role will support the Site Managers to drive service delivery which will be recognised by the client and ensure key performance targets and SLAs are maintained.Main Duties
  • Supervise and manage a team of electricians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Plan, organise, and coordinate electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Conduct regular inspections of electrical installations and equipment to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including reports on project progress and resource utilisation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Implement training programmes for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in electrical systems.
  • Support Construction Manager in day-to-day activities, achieve adequate understanding of role to deputise when required.
  • Creation of any required Risk Assessments and Method Statements ensuring suitable.
  • Revision and review, is applied pre and post job completion.
  • Ensuring all weekly and monthly internal and external deadlines are met, and when asked to prepare detailed reports to substantiate the figures.
To be considered for this position you will have at least 2-3 years previous experience within a similar level role ideally within an engineering or construction environment and have an excellent working knowledge of the water industry would be beneficial. Awareness of NEC3 Construction & Engineering Contracts as well as an electrical bias are also essential for the role. Travel to various sites throughout the country is required so a valid UK driving licence is essential for the position.BenefitsWe offer a competitive package, including:
