- Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists accurately and efficiently to optimize guest seating.
- Escort guests to their tables promptly, coordinating seamlessly with the service team.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host station and entrance area at all times.
- Answer guest inquiries courteously, providing helpful information about the venue, menu, or wait times.
- Assist in managing guest flow during busy periods to minimize wait times and ensure optimal seating.
- Handle guest requests and special seating arrangements with professionalism and attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively with the front-of-house team to support seamless service delivery.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
- Previous experience in a host/hostess role or customer service position, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a welcoming and polite demeanour.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with reservation systems or the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment.
