- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Engineering, Building Sciences, or a related field. Additional certifications and accreditations are highly desirable
- Extensive experience (minimum of 5 years) as a fire engineer with a strong onsite presence, preferably within the Real Estate sector.
- Proven track record in conducting technical due diligence, including desktop reviews and peer reviews, to evaluate project feasibility and identify potential risks.
- In-depth knowledge of fire safety, fire engineering design, and building safety principles, with the ability to apply them effectively in a practical context.
- Experience reviewing and assessing installation and remediation works onsite, ensuring adherence to fire safety and building safety requirements.
- Strong understanding of external wall design and its implications for fire safety measures in buildings.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable legislation and design guidance related to fire safety and building safety, including a comprehensive understanding of the Building Safety Act
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in fire engineering and technical advisory services.
- Strong project management abilities, including the capacity to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects concurrently, and meet deadlines.
