
Conveyancing Paralegal

- To take instructions from clients in all domestic conveyancing transactions where appropriate and directed.
- To assist other members of the team with workloads and with file opening
- To work alongside the Legal Secretary team to manage all due diligence and supporting paperwork
- To comply with all CQS requirements
- Utilise the case management system (LEAP) and time recording as required
- To monitor and develop with the Department Head the systems connected with the Property Department
- To cover for the other Fee-Earners in the Property Department when they are sick, on holiday or as directed by the Head of Department
- To undertake such other tasks or duties as the Head of Department or Partners may reasonably require
- 2 years’ experience working on domestic conveyancing transactions including some fee earning work either as a junior fee earner or paralegal
- Good understanding of all conveyancing transactions including sales purchases and transfers of equity and an ability to undertake these transactions mostly independently.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships both internally and externally
- The ability to work to deadlines
- A desire to learn and develop the skills (and qualifications where desired) to become a conveyancer or licensed solicitor
