- Assist with the completion of detailed Balance Sheet reviews across all trading entities within the WSH Group, both UK&I and Europe.
- Identify key risks, make recommendations for improvement and work with stakeholders to see the successful implementation of those enhancements.
- Provide day-to-day support to the finance team on the reconciliation software used by the WSH Group and have involvement in the enhancement and expansion of this software over time.
- Assist & eventually oversee the timely and accurate setup of internal Balance Sheet reviews and analysis across all group companies, both UK&I and Europe.
- Assist with presentation and review of trading company's Balance Sheet alongside members of the Financial Reporting team and senior members of operational finance.
- Prepare & review the findings and make recommendations to the Brand Finance Directors, the Support Office Finance Director and the Group CFO.
- Gain understanding and assess weaknesses within specific processes and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Work with relevant teams to implement process improvements across all aspects of the finance infrastructure.
- Gain an understanding of the reconciliation software employed at WSH and help support its day to day use.
- Assist with the future expected development of the reconciliation system across geographical regions.
- Assist with the continued improvement of the reconciliation system in the more mature trading entities of the WSH Group.
- Support in the introduction of a comprehensive annual review of the financial controls across all group companies and report all findings, highlight and assess the robustness of mitigating controls and carry out follow-up reviews.
- Qualified Accountant with 1 PQE
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence all levels of an organization.
- Keen eye for detail.
- Strong organisation skills.
- An interest and understanding of IT systems and their capabilities.
- The ability to work under general direction within a clear framework of accountability; exercising personal responsibility and autonomy.
- A good working knowledge of Company Balance Sheets.
- Experience reviewing processes and controls appropriately across companies.
- Exposure to various finance functions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience interacting with different finance teams. Acting as a key contact within Finance for all colleagues, encouraging collaboration and aligning common goals to achieve objectives.
