Join us and help fulfil our mission to close the world's digital skills gap.The Role: Cloud Operations (Cloud Ops) EngineerWe are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Operations Engineer to take ownership of our cloud infrastructure. This is a critical role responsible for the administration, maintenance, and ongoing enhancement of our IT services. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in AWS and a strong understanding of other major cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Azure. This individual will not only be a technical expert but also a coach and mentor, helping to upskill and improve the capabilities of the wider TechOps team.Key Responsibilities :
  • Cloud Infrastructure Ownership: Assume full ownership of the administration, maintenance, and security of our core cloud infrastructure, with a primary focus on AWS.
  • Multi-Cloud Management: Maintain a strong working knowledge of GCP and Azure services to support and integrate with our multi-cloud environment.
  • IT Service Enhancement: Collaborate closely with TechOps engineers to identify and implement improvements to IT services, focusing on automation, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Technical Leadership & Mentoring: Act as a technical leader within the team, providing coaching and mentorship to other engineers to develop their cloud and operational skills.
  • Endpoint & Identity Management: Administer and maintain Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions such as Kandji and Intune, as well as our Okta identity provider.
  • Network Infrastructure: Administer and manage network services, with a specific need for knowledge in SD-WAN technologies, particularly Meraki.
  • Operating System Support: Provide expert support for desktop environments, including ChromeOS and macOS.
  • Process Improvement: Apply knowledge of the ITIL 4 framework to contribute to and improve IT service management processes and operational best practices.
  • Incident & Problem Management: Take a lead role in the resolution of complex infrastructure-related incidents and problems.
Required Experience & Skills
  • Proven, hands-on experience in a Cloud Operations, DevOps, or similar role.
  • AWS Expertise is Essential: In-depth experience with a wide range of AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, and CloudFormation.
  • Strong working knowledge of core services across GCP and Azure.
  • Extensive experience with MDM platforms (Kandji, Intune, or similar).t
  • Expertise in managing and securing identity and access management (IAM) systems, particularly Okta.
  • Hands-on experience with ChromeOS and macOS administration.
  • Experience with SD-WAN technologies (Meraki).
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
