The role of a Car Park Attendant is to ensure the safe operation of the Trust car parks alongside supporting patients, visitors and staff to access our services. The role is extremely varied and you would be joining a small team who all work closely together to provide excellent customer service.This is a Night duty role which will involve working 12 hours shifts on a rota basis.The successful candidate will be:Responsible for the enforcement of the Trust Car Parking PolicyResponsible for ensuring the correct application of the Quality Management System where it interfaces with their daily activitiesResponsible for ensuring the the ANPR database is kept up to date therefore be comfortable using IT systemsDealing with customer queries both face to face and via telephone therefore great customer service skills are essentialMain duties of the jobIssue Parking Charge Notices to vehicles that are parked in breach of the Trust PolicyResponsible for the monitoring of the car parking service equipment, its performance and reporting of faults or damages to the Car Parking Management TeamDirects drivers of vehicles to appropriate parking areas if and when required and provides information to visitors, students, staff and patientsMonitors and/or patrol site to ensure traffic remains flowingObserve, uphold and enforce health & safety regulations at all times including the wearing of hi-visibility and safety clothing and the reporting of hazards and dangers on siteTake intercom calls and assist customers with their issues and queries.To man the Car Parking Reception, take card and cash payment on an ad hoc basis and also validate parking passes for visitorsIssue keys in accordance with the agreed procedureGive appropriate advice and instruction to staff and public in respect of the effective operation of the Trust car parksGive appropriate instruction to any new members of the Car Parking TeamWork agreed rotas and co-operate to maintain a 24-hour coverAttend training courses as requiredAbout usSCL is a wholly owned subsidiary of County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust (CDDFT) set up to deliver a range of non-clinical services The company is a separate legal body to CDDFT.SCL offers its own Terms and Conditions of employment which differ to the national NHS Terms and Conditions.
