- Product and technology provides investment and acquisition guidance to clients across commercial, product, and technical topics needed to assess and advise companies in the “software economy”
- Enterprise technology assesses major technology risks and opportunities related to a transaction across key areas of enterprise technology holistically including enterprise and business systems, infrastructure, data and reporting, tech operating model, tech spend
- Cybersecurity focuses on understanding the business operating model, then applying our experience, benchmarks and tools to determine where Cyber is critical to the brand, operations, assets and applicable regulations.
- Contribute to pre-deal (e.g. technology due diligence, carve-out planning), post-deal (e.g. sign to close, integration planning, synergy tracking) and value creation (e.g. cost reduction, tech enabled VC) engagements with clients across all sectors, including private equity and corporate
- Handle the engagement's most critical studies and lead junior team members. On any given day, an Executive might coach / mentor junior team members, conduct industry research, perform qualitative and quantitative analysis, or participate in client discussions
- Work with engagement lead to develop hypotheses, insights, and key findings that are critical to the engagement
- Execute qualitative and quantitative analyses (e.g., IT spend analysis and benchmarking, organisational capabilities, technology capabilities) to support the formulation and validation of strategic recommendations
- Perform secondary research using various sources (e.g., analyst reports, market research reports, news articles)
- Analyse business plans and pro-forma financial models to help identify key assumptions and drivers
- Engage in business origination activities, including pitches, proposals and presentations
- Contribute to people initiatives, including recruiting, retaining and training current and future staff
- Broad knowledge and deep understanding of one or more core aspects of a typical IT function, including Enterprise Architecture, IT Strategy and Governance, Systems Integration and Application Development, IT Service Delivery, IT Infrastructure, IT Financials and the dynamics of an IT function
- Proven experience and the ability to communicate with clarity and impact to senior stakeholders. This may be demonstrable through experience working in large projects with senior visibility, success at presenting technical topics to non technical audiences or speaking at events
- Ability to deliver high-quality work products, including databooks, reports, or client-ready materials, with strong attention to detail and the ability to self-review for accuracy
- Ability to analyse and triangulate multiple data sources, generating clear, actionable insights and “so-what” recommendations that support client decision-making
- Flexible with working locations, with the ability to learn quickly and leverage skills in new situations
- Experience with transactions, ideally in performing IT Due Diligence and/or IT post-merger integration, separation/carve-out assignments, is useful but not a must.
