About The RoleRole OverviewproAV are a leading global audio visual integrator, providing AV and event services across multiple client partnerships globally.Our immediate requirement is for an experienced AV Events Technician to be a key part of our London team, representing proAV and working onsite, taking full responsibility for providing support to fully integrated conference rooms, boardrooms and large complex environments such as auditoriums. The Technician interfaces daily with the customer and acts as an extension of their team. Their responsibilities generally include the operation and functional testing of all AV and integrated conference room components/equipment. The Technician works in cooperation with the customer's management team in support of their equipment and user community.One of many openings available at proAV (who have over 500 team members globally), this position is based within our end user's organisation who continue to invest in state-of-the-art technologies, services, and training.This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional, experienced AV Events Technician to join an established operation with scope to drive and enhance the service at every opportunity.Experience and seniority of the position will be reflected by the remuneration and benefits package.Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate event requirements /schedules with clients
  • Attend client pre-production meetings to effectively plan the scope
  • Direct & manage all technical aspects of live events
  • Events spaces are fully tested to ensure room functionality.
  • Setup/operation of integrated events spaces including high profile auditorium-based results presentations and town halls
  • Post event reporting to highlight production improvements and enhancements to service
  • Ensure all video conferencing / UC requirements are configured and tested.
  • Liaising with remote offices in respect to the setup of video conferencing calls.
  • Ability to provide workarounds in the event of equipment failure
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Presentable and able to always liaise with senior executives in a calm and professional manner
  • Provide1st and 2nd line audio visual support AV requested
  • Work within a team rota to allow for support to be provided for both client's London locations - Canary Wharf and Stirling Square.
  • Ensure all audio visual and media services are delivered to the business in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Assist and support the client in the use of purpose built and portable AV equipment.
  • Ensure all equipment on-site is maintained and kept in working order with all faults reported via the onsite procedures.
  • Carry out first line troubleshooting to AV equipment and rooms within time constraints.
  • Work closely with the helpdesk and field service engineers, where required.
  • Performs other AV-related tasks as reasonably requested
  • Maintain total confidentiality relating to information received for presentations and broadcasts etc.
  • Ensure all Town Hall and VIP Video Conference reservations are delivered to the business in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Execute and monitor complex and senior executive events.
  • Virtual testing of participating video, audio, and graphic systems prior to event for host and speaker sites on complex events.
  • Direct and monitor complex multimedia and senior executive events, working with a remote support video help desk and on site, in room audio visual technicians.
  • Report on event metrics to the GEP lead both internal and on client side.
  • Develop and maintain relationship with key clients
Personal skills
  • Experience of supporting a variety of AV spaces.
  • Strong working knowledge of industry standard video conferencing platforms.
  • Strong working knowledge and exposure to industry standard VMR service providers.
  • Experience of working with corporate VIP's.
  • Experience of running the AV aspect of presentations for high profile meetings.
  • Be organised and flexible with the ability to approach different types of tasks during the working day.
  • Excellent customer service skills with previous experience of dealing with 'ALL' level executives advantageous.
  • Being able to prioritise and work under pressure is essential.
  • Be competent to a high level of computer literacy.
  • Be available and flexible to work overtime if required.
  • Capable of good communication skills both verbal and written, being able to communicate with company executives to building contractors.
  • Be able to work to the highest quality standards with attention to detail ensuring that we complete our work thoroughly, never walking away from a problem.
  • A reliable, conscientious character who takes pride in what they do and completing tasks on time.
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations.
  • Willing to undertake training and examinations to improve their technical knowledge.
  • The employee should be able to demonstrate an aptitude towards providing a high level of customer service.
  • Should have a good standard of computer literacy and ideally will understand Microsoft Office suite, Zoom, Cisco WebEx and streaming desktop video solutions for broadcast to an intermediate level.
Hours of work40 hours per week, 9 hours a day on a rotational shift basis between 7am-7pm, including an hour unpaid break, Monday-Friday.
