Your key role will be to provide specialist study skills support, advice and guidance to students with mental health conditions that impact their studies.Your skills and attributes for successWe are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual with relevant experience in the delivery of mental health support services within a one-to one and groupwork setting.
  • Educated to degree level in a professional relevant subject (e.g., Health, Social Work, Counselling)
  • Must hold the requisite qualifications and professional body membership for Specialist Mentors - Mental Health Difficulties (MH). (See pages 8-10 of
) * Substantial knowledge of issues affecting students with mental health conditions undertaking studies in higher education.
  • Working knowledge of equality legislation and good practice including GDPR
  • IT literate
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Organisational skills: ability to manage priorities, workload and deliver case notes and funding body paperwork timeously.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional within a busy environment, when dealing with students presenting with various challenging and difficult situations
£41,064 to £48,822 per annum, pro rata Grade UE07
