- Research Technical Professional (Research Statistics): Grade 8 £40,497 to £46,735
- Lead the design, development, and optimisation of methodologies for identifying patterns, interpreting data, and formulating solutions to research questions.
- Work collaboratively with academic researchers, software engineer, Technical Services and IT colleagues to aid statistical analysis of large datasets to facilitate impactful research.
- Ensure the data ethics and privacy regulations for responsible data handling and research. Be responsible for data cleaning, handling missing values, and transforming data for analysis.
- Champion best practices in data governance & security,
- Contribute to the strategic planning, ensuring alignment with the University's digital research ambitions.
- Be familiar with Linux Operating Systems.
- Proven experience in designing and statistical data analysis and visualisation.
- A strong understanding of modern statistical methodologies and experimental design and power analysis.
- Skilled in required programming languages such as R and Python.
- A commitment to best practices in data security, governance, and analysis of large data sets.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical colleagues, researchers, and wider stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
