- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for engineering-related categories, equipment, and services.
- Lead category planning and execution to achieve cost reduction, risk mitigation, and supplier performance improvements.
- Conduct market research, supplier benchmarking, and sourcing events to secure competitive solutions.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships across equipment, installation, and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts, manage performance through KPIs/SLAs, and act as the escalation point for supply issues.
- Ensure supplier capability aligns with evolving business and project needs.
- Partner with engineers, project managers, and operations teams to understand procurement requirements.
- Act as procurement lead within cross-functional project teams, ensuring early engagement in project planning.
- Communicate sourcing strategies and progress to stakeholders, influencing decision-making and delivering value.
- Support procurement for engineering projects including capital installations, site refurbishments, and productivity initiatives.
- Define and implement project-specific sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, and delivery.
- Serve as the single point of contact for procurement within project teams, ensuring alignment and accountability.
- Ensure availability of all parts, materials, and components regularly used in customer engineering projects by effectively managing stock levels through the use of MRP systems and proactive supplier planning.
- Ensure adherence to global and regional procurement policies, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Drive process improvements, digitalisation, and best practice adoption across procurement activities.
- Contribute to sustainability, ethical sourcing, and standardization of procurement processes.
- Manage procurement activities for engineering and site services, including installation services, civil works, site refurbishments, and equipment maintenance.
- Oversee procurement for capital and operational projects, including productivity initiatives.
- Support operational requirements including transport and specialist contractors.
- Manage inventory of regularly used spare parts and components critical to the successful execution of engineering projects.
- Experience in Capex, engineering and fast paced environments
- Analytical skills, spend analysis, ability to identify market opportunities to optimise supplier performance and cost
- Continuous Improvement methodology
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
- Salary £55- £65,000
- Hybrid working- 3 days a week in Surrey
