You can view each of the service locations, listed at the top of this advert, and will be asked to provide your location preference at interview.The successful candidate will work on a rota basis within the care home which includes, early shifts, late shifts and a period of night duty, unsocial hours will be paid at basic rate plus 1/3 hourly rate.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our care home team in Fife Council's Residential and Day Services.We are looking for a motivated and driven individual with good values and a genuine interest in the care and support of older people within the care homes.The care homes in Fife provide ongoing care and support to vulnerable older people: the care home also supports a respite, STAR unit and a day service.Fife Council is committed to delivering services which are responsive, reliable, efficient and effective.During Covid-19, we are taking the opportunity to work in different ways, and this includes how we continue to undertake our interviews. We are using Microsoft Teams to progress with interviews virtually and all you need is a device with a camera and access to the internet.   • Must have or be able to work towards SVQ 2 as required by Scottish Social Services Council within the time frames set at point of registration. Once qualification achieved it is the person's responsibility to inform Scottish Social Services Council timeously.
  • Provide care and support which meets the Health and Social Care standards.
  • Must be able to work with other Council services and partner agencies to support the effective planning and delivery of care and support within our service.
  • You should be able to work flexibly and creatively within a dynamic and ambitious team.
  • You are required to register with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up employment in this role and to complete the required Post Registration Training and Learning (PRTL) over the first registration period. It is the person's responsibility to notify the SSSC of any changes to personal or work details timeously.
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.You will save money on your SSSC fees as these will now be paid for all roles and grades by the Scottish Government.Further Information
