It provides a supportive and dynamic environment where professionals can excel.The RoleThe company is seeking a skilled QS, either at project surveyor or assistant level, to join its friendly and professional commercial team in Exeter. Your new role will involve overseeing the financial and contractual management of multimillion pound projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to exceptional standards.Key Responsibilities:Preparing and managing project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecastsConducting cost analysis and financial risk assessmentsAdministering contracts, including JCT and NEC forms, ensuring full complianceNegotiating with subcontractors and suppliers to secure cost-effective agreementsPrepareing interim valuations, variations, and final accountsCollaborating with project teams to monitor progress and address commercial challengesDelivering accurate cost reporting and forecasting to senior managementEnsuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulationsAbout the Candidate:Ideally you'll hold or be working towards a degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related disciplineExperience in commercial project delivery sectors such as health and educationPossess strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contractsExhibit strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skillsProficient in in cost management softwareWork effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative teamHold a full UK driving licenceHave RICS qualification or be actively working towards it (desirable)What the Company Offers:A competitive salary with a comprehensive benefits package, including pension and healthcareOpportunities for career advancement within a Tier 1 contractorSupport for professional development and achieving chartershipA collaborative and inclusive workplace cultureThe opportunity to contribute to multimillion-pound, community-focused projectsLocation:Exeter, with occasional travel to project sites across the South West.
