Location: Chobham, Surrey (Hybrid - 2-3 days per week in the office)
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
Reports to: Finance DirectorThe RoleYou'll be joining a small finance team (currently two people), reporting directly to the Finance Director. This varied role covers both management and transactional accounting for two entities based in the UK and Ireland. The position offers hybrid working with 2-3 days per week in the Chobham office and flexibility on other days.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in preparing monthly management accounts for UK and Irish entitiesSupport budgeting and forecasting alongside the Finance DirectorPrepare and submit VAT returns for the UK, Republic of Ireland, and the NetherlandsManage overhead invoices, approvals, and payment runsComplete bank reconciliations across multi-currency accountsMaintain accurate general ledger records, accruals, and prepaymentsAssist with year-end processes liaising with external accountants and auditorsProvide ad hoc reporting and analysis to support decision-makingContribute to process improvements within the finance functionAbout YouQualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or finalist with relevant experienceExperience in a small SME finance team, handling both transactional and management accountingSolid understanding of VAT compliance across UK and EU jurisdictions preferredStrong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulae)Able to work independently and take initiativeExcellent communication skills with ability to collaborate across teamsExperience with multiple entities or jurisdictions is advantageousWhat You'll GetCompetitive salary £50,000 - £55,000 per annumHybrid working: 2-3 days per week in Chobham office with flexible remote daysBroad and varied role in a supportive, collaborative environmentIf you're ready to make a significant impact within a growing business, apply now!Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
