This role offers the chance to work on a variety of clean water and water recycling projects, helping ensure assets are tested, optimised, and ready for operation before handover.This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills and contribute to the delivery of vital infrastructure, while being part of a values-driven, supportive engineering environment.What You’ll Be DoingWorking within a multi-disciplinary team, you’ll play a key role in commissioning activities across a broad range of projects. With a focus on safety, quality, and performance, you’ll help ensure that new assets function as intended and deliver long-term value for our customers and the environment.Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the planning and execution of commissioning activities on site
- Collaborating with design, delivery, and operational teams to ensure successful project outcomes
- Assisting in site inspections, testing, and performance verification of new assets
- Producing and maintaining commissioning documentation, including method statements and risk assessments
- Helping to resolve technical issues and optimise performance
- Participating in site acceptance testing and early engagement with equipment suppliers
- Feeding into continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned processes
- A HNC (or equivalent Level 4 qualification) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering
- Some relevant experience in commissioning, operations, or maintenance (preferably within the water or utilities sector)
- A good understanding of process control, instrumentation, or M&E systems
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a willingness to learn and adapt
