We are excited to offer an opportunity for a skilled Data Engineer to join our Data, Intelligence, and Insight Team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for building the Council's end-to-end Data Warehouse, supporting teams in delivering integrated data analysis and intelligence. This will empower the Council to make informed decisions based on a robust evidence base and a single version of the truth.About the role:As a Data Engineer, you will lead the technical development of data repositories across various council services. Key responsibilities include delivering production-level SQL code, handling multiple data sources, adapting to changing deadlines, and providing technical support to colleagues within the wider data team. Strong problem-solving skills will be essential for success in this role, as well as experience optimising stored procedures in a DataMart context.With the Council undergoing significant transformation, this is an excellent opportunity to shape and enhance our future reporting infrastructure, ensuring data is at the heart of decision-making.
