A well-established precision engineering company in Staffordshire is seeking a skilled and experienced 5-Axis Machinist to join their night shift team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility with modern CNC machinery, excellent shift premiums, and regular overtime.Key Responsibilities
  • Set and operate 5-axis CNC machining centres
  • Work on high-precision components to tight tolerances
  • Use technical drawings and CAD/CAM data to ensure accuracy
  • Maintain and monitor machine performance and part quality
  • Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to meet production goals
  • Apply knowledge of tooling, speeds, and feeds to optimize machining processes
Requirements
  • Time-served engineer with recognised industry-standard qualifications
  • Proven experience setting and operating 5-axis machining centres
  • Familiarity with Mazak and Matsuura machines is highly desirable
  • Experience using CADCAM software - particularly Fusion and PowerMill - is an advantage
  • High level of attention to detail and precision
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a night shift environment
