Our global information technology organization is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our Shared Services Engineering team in Budapest.
Design, document and implement test suites based on product requirements and user stories
Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory and performance testing
Develop a deep understanding of the business domain to ensure comprehensive test coverage
Collaborate with product and development teams to clarify requirements and define acceptance criteria
Identify, document and track defects
Work in an Agile team and contribute to the entire lifecycle of some of the most critical systems in the firm
Continuously improve and optimize test frameworks, methodologies, and processes
Provide guidance and expert advice to other teams
Required:
5+ years of experience in testing web applications
Good understanding of QA methodologies, test planning and execution
Basic scripting knowledge in JavaScript or TypeScript
Experience with UI test automation tools such as Cypress or Playwright
Familiarity with Jira or similar issue tracking systems
Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics)
Good communication and collaboration skills
No experience in the financial industry required
Preferred:
Experience in domain-driven testing or working in domain-critical environments (e.g., finance, healthcare, logistics)
Familiarity with cloud services(e.g., Azure, Google) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test integration
