Join our dedicated leadership team as Deputy Headteacher at our supportive SEMH school in Scunthorpe.This is a unique opportunity to help shape a nurturing and aspirational environment where every student is given the chance to re-engage with learning, rebuild confidence, and thrive.You'll play a key role in leading a committed staff team, driving high-quality teaching and learning, and ensuring that our students receive the support they need to develop vital skills, curiosity, and resilience-both in and beyond the classroom.About South Park Enterprise CollegeSouth Park Enterprise College is an independent SEMH specialist school for students aged 11-16, many with EHCPs and diagnoses such as ADHD or ASD.We provide a safe, nurturing environment for young people who have struggled in mainstream schools or face exclusion.Key Responsibilities
  • Be an active member of the school leadership team
  • Support the Headteacher with school strategy and daily operations
  • Represent or deputise for the Headteacher when needed
  • Oversee pupil progress, curriculum, and standards
  • Manage staff and resources effectively
  • Help develop and implement the School Development Plan
  • Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar SEN provision
  • Proven leadership and school improvement skills
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted and school standards
  • Excellent classroom and teaching skills
  • Skilled in whole-school behaviour management
  • Deep understanding of SEND Code of Practice
  • Clear understanding of Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance
