We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to join a successful automotive dealership team in Salisbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled technician who takes pride in delivering excellent service, thrives in a fast-paced workshop environment, and wants to continue developing their career with ongoing training and support.Role & PurposeAs a Service Technician, you will be a vital member of the Aftersales Team, reporting to the Service Manager. You’ll carry out a range of workshop tasks in a safe, efficient, and professional manner-ensuring customer satisfaction while maximising productivity.Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle services and repairs to manufacturer standards.
- Follow dealership processes and procedures consistently.
- Communicate effectively with customers when required.
- Support and mentor less experienced team members.
- Attend regular training to maintain and update technical knowledge.
- Work collaboratively as part of the wider workshop and dealership team.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment.
- Correctly handle hazardous materials and waste in line with company policy and regulations.
- Undertake additional workshop tasks when reasonably required.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to quickly understand technical information and provide solutions.
- Flexible and adaptable with a strong work ethic.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Positive approach to change and new challenges.
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft and web applications.
- Previous experience in a main dealer or franchise environment.
- MOT qualification.
- Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ accreditation.
- Strong track record in vehicle diagnostics and repairs.
- Proven commitment to delivering first-class customer service.
