Are you passionate about empowering students to succeed in their careers? We're seeking a Placement Engagement Co-ordinator to join our team. In this role, you'll collaborate with Faculty and Careers and Employability Service (CES) colleagues to enhance student participation in Placements & Work-Based Learning.Placements and Work-Based Learning give students the opportunity to gain skills specific to their subject or industry of choice as well as the employability skills required for real-life work. It also increases their knowledge of an industry or sector, allowing them to make better-informed decisions about future career choices.About the Role:You will work in partnership with Faculty and CES colleagues to increase the levels of student engagement and participation in the full range of Placements & Work-Based Learning schemes and activities for non-professional programmes. This will involve a range of activities including: the delivery of high-quality advice and guidance to students; development of innovative work-based learning preparation programmes; and the delivery and impact evaluation of a planned schedule of events and other activities. You will also contribute to the development and building of new and existing employer relations to increase placement opportunities.

The role requires strong networking, negotiating and interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate information clearly and professionally to a diverse range of recipients, both orally and in writing.
  • The ability to make presentations and conduct group workshops.

  • Proven experience demonstrating excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • An ability to gain a full understanding of the services provided and customer needs to provide accurate help and assistance to customers and actively improve and/or promote services to existing and potential customers.
