Better places, thriving communities. - Electrical EngineerThe Summit One campus is a corporate client HQ consisting of 3 main office buildings and a small number of satellite buildings inc. A vehicle workshop and two multi level car parks. The role sits within a team of 8 M&E trades and Handymen supported by an on-site management & admin team providing a wide range of facilities services to our client. PPM & Reactive works are predominantly transmitted via a CAFM system by a central helpdesk and received and administered by each engineer via a handheld device. The variety of tasks and priorities encountered make it necessary for all engineers to be very flexible in their approach to the working day, physically fit and customer focused. Some overtime will be required at times both in the week and at weekends and will be shared amongst the team as appropriate. You will be required to join the Callout rota covering reactive works outside of normal working hours. The rota averages 1 week in 6 at present. The On Call engineer claims a Standby Allowance for all times when on call. Out of normal working hours callouts are paid subject to Mitie Terms & Conditions of Contract.Service is also provided to a limited degree, remotely to our corporate clients Training Academy at Wokefield Park, approx. 30 miles away from the main site. A pool vehicle is available to facilitate travel between sites.Job objectives and responsibilities:
In close liaison with your Supervisor, you will form part of the on site team and be responsible for carrying out a wide range of commercial electrical installation, maintenance, fault finding and reactive repairs to the various LV electrical systems on site. You will also carry out a multitude of other service tasks unrelated to your primary trade at both of the aforementioned locations.Main dutiesAssist Contract Manager in organisation, management and co-ordination of on-site services to ensure service is maintained to the highest standard in all circumstances

Ability to carry out minor surveys and inspections
Simple Report writing is essential to the role.
Achieve contract SLA/KPI in all reactive / planned work orders across all service lines for the contract site.
To understand and complete all work related documentation accurately and on time
To learn, understand and comply with all MITIE & Client policies and procedures
To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner, using point of work risk assessments where required.
To comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures
To attend and fully participate in training and the annual review / appraisal process as required
To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required
To ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements and to assist in any training of the team.
If requested, to assist with the monitoring and supervision of subcontractors on a day to day basis, including apprentices. This to include assisting with the processing and completion of college reports if required.
To perform planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks on all associated water services equipment, including fault diagnostics and repair.
Participate in adherence to MITIE Quality System documentation.

Person Specification

Experience in 3 phase and single phase Electrical Installations & Repair, motors, pumps and some controls are desirable
Competent LV Electrical installation and maintenance excluding testing
City & Guilds or equivalent qualifications
Strong customer care focus
Good Health and Safety awareness and knowledge
Full and Clean driving Licence
Ability to work at heights is advantageous
Smart in appearance
Polite, patient and good humoured
Able to process Administration tasks associated with the role
Committed to delivering quality
Reliable and flexible
Able to work as part of a Team or on their own

Off Call Normal Weekly Hours - 07.00 - 16.00hrs M-F
On Call Normal Weekly Hours - 09.00 - 18.00hrs F - TH
